For Immediate Release

September 3, 2020

London, Los Angeles, September 3, 2020 MLi Group Announces the launch of Survivability News™ platform.

In response to an age of extraordinary scale of false narratives and fake news, MLi Group is proud to announce the launch of Survivability News™ platform – ‘The Only Home of Conflicting News, Narratives & Unprecedented Analysis & Events – All in One Place’.

In the era of fake news, misleading narratives, and false agendas, Survivability News™ hub will serve as the home of unprecedented analysis on conflicting news and narratives from opposing news outlets around the world. It is the place to get a wider unbiased perspective, in-depth investigative reportage, and features of unfolding stories, geo-political events, Cyber Security and Geo-Poli-Cyber attacks and their human and economic consequences – all in one place.

Never before in human history has mankind had so much information at his fingertips, and yet, never before has he been so misled and misinformed. An unprecedented intervention is critically needed. said Khaled Fattal, MLi Group Executive Chairman, CEO, and Survivability News™ Publisher on the occasion of the launch.

The mission / goal is to give readers, citizens, and decision makers alike, a critically needed wider perspective they are seriously lacking today from the news sources they currently rely upon for news, events and analysis and which impact their lives and livelihoods directly and indirectly.

Fattal later added: “Integral components that further strengthen our unique Survivability News™ model are our Citizen Journalism and the public awareness and private thought leadership events we will organize and host.”

The Dream and The Nightmare

Chairman Fattal and MLi have been involved in the global infrastructure of the Internet, its resiliency, stability, and security since the mid-90’s. He championed, led and actively contributed at the highest levels in making it the Multilingual Internet it is today through international institutions and forums such as the United Nations (UN), International Telecommunications Union (ITU),  Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the UN Internet Governance Forum (UN IGF), and many others. The vision was to deliver an empowered digital information society that would create a more informed citizen for a better world and humanity.

The dream, however, has turned into today’s nightmare, warranting an unprecedented intervention.

A Toxified Noble Profession & The Need to Act

Equally disturbing is that the noble profession of journalism which is expected to act as the checks and balances that holds politicians, corporate officials, and others to account; one that adheres to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, authenticity, but above all, objectivity—a critical anchor of any democratic society, has been exceptionally, perhaps mortally, compromised.

Too many traditional and new news media outlets and players have become mere flag wavers of these values. On this, Fattal said: “Democracy, where democracy is enshrined and elsewhere where it is aspired for, one that can and does serve its people, their lives, livelihoods and aspirations first and foremost, is in stage four cancer and it is getting worse. It cannot survive without a better informed citizen and decision makers alike. Time for ‘real’ change! This is one of the reasons why we are launching Survivability News™.

Fake News & False Narratives – New Survivability & Security Threat Vectors

Many local, regional, and international news organizations seem to have become captured by PR lobbyists, special interest of any bias and held ransom by their advertising budgets, as well as, by opposing national foreign policy agendas and their abundant, often, limitless funds. Sadly, some have become creators of false narratives based on half facts and twisted truths. Worse yet, they have also turned into active distributors of false narratives and in other instances, they have become merchants of pure lies in their pursuit special interest goals, and at times, actively causing local and regional civil unrest.

Such developments have converted false narratives and fake news into unprecedented national and corporate security and survivability risks and threat vectors. They are often, if not always, at the heart of all recent geopolitical events and Geo-Poli-Cyber attacks whose motivations are seldom purely financial, and which are explained more in the ‘About MLi Group’ below.

Fattal later added: “ We are fully aware that no one organization or single initiative can save democracy alone. We are starting with our unique and imperfect initiative to try and save democracy. Someone has to take the uncompromising leadership initiative to break the cycle. But for democracy to survive, misled people must be offered a wider perspective on facts to become better informed and engaged citizens – Same applies to top decision makers. We aim to compel others locally and internationally who share our vision and values to join us as partners, supporters, and/or as citizen journalists in this quest to build a tsunami of global collaboration to create real change.”

A Unique model of Journalism

As a model, the goal of bringing conflicting news and narratives, and analysing unfolding events with a unique approach and outlook, all in one place, is further strengthened by some of our key integral components such as Citizen Journalism and our Events.

Citizen Journalism

Part of our mission is assuring anonymity and protection, as needed, for our sources. By empowering great and inquisitive minds from all over the world, stories that would otherwise never see the light of day and possibly endanger their sources’ or whistle blowers’ lives if revealed locally can now be published and exposed internationally and locally. Our aspiration is that such inclusion and active engagement will advance the opportunity for real change. Contributors and citizen journalists who wish to initiate the process of confidentially supplying us their special ‘scoops’ should visit the Survivability News™ Citizen Journalism page at  https://arabic-news.mlisurvivability.com/citizen-journalism. Please note: all submitted stories and intel will be scrutinized before consideration for publishing. Survivability News™ reserves the right not to publish.

Survivability NewsEvents

SurvivabilityNews™ will also host public and private thought leadership events. This September,  SurvivabilityNews™ will organize and host the Virtual Round Table event titled: China vs USA – Clash of the Titan Empires and Their Battle to Dominate The 21st Century. The event will host VIP guest panelists to discuss, debate and address how nations and top governments and corporate leaders can mitigate becoming collateral damage as these two giant empires battle to own the 21st century.

About MLi Group.
MLi Group is the worldwide leader in survivability and security mitigation strategies, solutions, and services to help/guide government and business top officials in mitigating the latest cyber and non-cyber threats—especially Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPC) attacks. GPC™ motivations are political, ideological, extremist, and “religious,” which differ significantly from financially motivated cyber-attacks in magnitude, impact, and mitigation strategies and solutions. Key are the destruction/devastation motivated, new breed of extremist, terrorist groups, and lone wolves who are often directed or backed by not only enemies but nation state agencies of presumed allies. GPC™ attacks are often aimed to coerce or alter the political and economic directions of nations and organizations. To date, national and corporate resiliency, continuity, and cyber security strategies/solutions continue to fail in defending or mitigating alike because they are missing critical new models, solutions and processes that Survivability Strategies bring in. This new, continuously escalating threat vector threatens not only corporate and national security, but their effective and competitive “Survivability.” For more information, please visit: www.mligrp.com

What Are
Geo-Poli-
Cyber™ Risks?

What Is Geo-Poli-Cyber™?

MLi Group created the terms Poli-Cyber™ and Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPC™) in 2012 and 2013 based on the philosophy that if you cannot identify and name the threat, you cannot mitigate that threat.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ attacks are political, ideological, terrorist, extremist, ‘religious’, and/or geo-politically motivated.

More Sinister Than Financial Motivations

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ attacks are significantly different from financially motivated cyber-attacks in damage, scale, magnitude as well as in risk mitigation strategies and solutions.
