As predicted, President Trump declared victory and claiming that the Democrats are trying to “steal” the election but that he is still on track for a “big win”. He also said he could lose because of “major fraud”.

He made these statements at the white house in the early morning hours after all voting had concluded and counting was still in full progress.

Trump also said that he will go to the Supreme Court because a group of “sad” opponents were trying to “disenfranchise” his supporters.

Biden and his camp responded labelling Trump’s claim “outrageous” and a “naked effort” to hijack democracy.

Meanwhile marches and demonstrations, some of which requiring law enforcement responses, were starting in many US cities, including Washington DC.
