Moscow Terror Attack.

An attack at a Moscow concert hall kills 60 people and injures more than 100, according to Russian security services.

At least four people dressed in camouflage opened fire at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk.

The roof of the concert hall, where people were waiting to see a rock band, became engulfed in fire and collapsing, according to Russia’s state news.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has called the incident a “terrorist attack”.

Pictures show flames and plumes of smoke rising into the sky. Tass news agency says a third of the concert venue is on fire and the roof is almost completely ablaze.

There is a massive emergency services operation outside the venue.

Russian media report that some people are still inside and 70 ambulance crews have been sent to the scene. The Federal Security Service (FSB) says special services are there.

Western Governments’ Warned their Citizens Against travel to Russia & to Avoid Public Gathering two weeks Earlier.

Uk and US residents have been told not to travel to Russia amid a warning that a terror attack was planned for the country’s capital.

The US embassy in Russia warned that “extremists” had imminent plans for an attack in Moscow, hours after Russian security services said they had foiled a planned shooting at a synagogue by a cell from the Afghan arm of Islamic State.

The embassy, which has repeatedly urged all US citizens to leave Russia immediately, gave no further details about the nature of the threat, but said people should avoid concerts and crowds and be aware of their surroundings.

Unfolding story. Updates to follow.

ISIS Claim of Responsibility Questioned

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack. The terror group took responsibility for the attack in a short statement published by ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram on Friday.

The US has confirmed the ISIS claim even though no evidence or any other form of authentication to support the claim was publicly provided.

“The claim by ISIS is somewhat of a surprise,” said the MLi Group Terrorism expert.

I would want to see the verification they provided when they issued their responsibility claim,” added the expert.

What Are
Geo-Poli-
Cyber™ Risks?

What Is Geo-Poli-Cyber™?

MLi Group created the terms Poli-Cyber™ and Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPC™) in 2012 and 2013 based on the philosophy that if you cannot identify and name the threat, you cannot mitigate that threat.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ attacks are political, ideological, terrorist, extremist, ‘religious’, and/or geo-politically motivated.

More Sinister Than Financial Motivations

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ attacks are significantly different from financially motivated cyber-attacks in damage, scale, magnitude as well as in risk mitigation strategies and solutions.
